This is being almost newly constructed over the old location with modern Auditorium facilities. Rabindra Bhavan , the dilapidated age old structure of more than three decades was the only auditorium for any cultural activity at Uluberia, Howrah. Renovation was proposed on the request of Uluberia Municipality dated 8.05.2002 by converting it into a modern auditorium of 640 seating capacity by inviting a design-construct tender on lump-sum basis. The scope of the work was planning, design, preparation of drawing, construction (addition/ alteration) in respect of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical works including Stepped arrangement, Modernization of Stage, Arrangement of good quality acoustics, Illumination, Public addressing system and other ancillary works.
